AeA Selects Vektrex For High Tech Award

Vektrex's SpikeSafe product line honored with Award

San Diego –  31 October, 2008 – Vektrex, a leading provider of reliability instrumentation for the semiconductor industry, announced that it has won the 2008 AeA High Tech Award in the category of Semiconductors, Industrial & Analytical Instrumentation from the AeA, the nation’s largest high-tech industry association.  Vektrex received the award on October 31, 2008, at an AeA awards luncheon.

Vektrex was chosen for its SpikeSafe product line which produces systems that enable LED and laser diode manufacturers to safely and efficiently develop devices that work at never-seen power levels.  By efficiently controlling power to devices, SpikeSafe users benefit from tremendous energy savings going "green" and as a result lower operating costs.  By employing proprietary protection algorithms, SpikeSafe preserves devices when there is a test failure enabling failure analysis and speeding the design process.
