VCS Model Current Sensors Accurately Measure DC, Pulsed DC, or AC Current

San Diego –  31 July, 2007 – Vektrex announces release of the VCS series current sensors supporting 0 – 320A.  For embedded applications requiring accurate measurement of DC, pulsed DC, or AC current, the Vektrex VCS series Hall-effect current sensors provide high-bandwidth current sensing with an amplified 50-ohm voltage output that can be connected directly to an oscilloscope or data acquisition system.  VCS sensors are magnetically isolated like clamp-on oscilloscope probes and will not influence the circuit.  VCS sensors allow secure cable attachment for repeatable and accurate current readings.  Configurations for embedded systems use are available.  Briefly, external amplifier not needed, higher bandwidth, and better accuracy than others on the market - at a fraction of the cost.
