Vektrex supplied a customized APS1000 bus switch to a supplier of military radios to be used for transient testing of a remote power supply at a 76 kHz load pulse rate. The unit switched several buses including a 28V bus, a 12 V bus, 230V and -120V. ViaSat chose Vektrex after determining that the 76 kHz pulse rate was beyond the capability of standard programmable loads.

Vektrex supplied the unit with a customized front panel and rear panel with MIL-STD connectors. This packaging allows the unit to be cabled directly to the power supply under test and passive electronic loads that dissipate the heat during testing
