User Interface and Equipment Control Software

Vektrex designed and developed the application software to control an industry-standard signal multiplexer used for high-speed digital recording. The ADARIO (Analog-to-Digital Recorder Input-Output) controls multiple data recorders and multiplexes analog and digital signals into a single digital signal. The ADARIO can accommodate several external submux units to greatly expand the number of recorded data sources.

Top Level System Status and Control Screen

The software communicates to the ADARIO and external submuxes via RS232 and GPIB (IEEE-488) interfaces. The program automatically scans the ADARIO and submux units' configuration. The status of each device is continuously displayed on the control computer. The software allows the user to synchronize and control all of the devices in a system from a single control station.
