LM-80-21 improves testing methodology for visible LED devices and addresses applicability to new classes of devices, including UV LEDs, laser diodes and filament LEDs.

In this webinar Jeff Hulett presents the newly-released LM-80-21 maintenance testing standard. LM-80-21 includes over two dozen substantive changes to the prior LM-80-15 revision. The changes alter and improve the testing methodology for visible LED devices, and they address LM-80’s applicability to new classes of devices, including UV LEDs, laser diodes and filament LEDs. The webinar begins with a short introduction to LM-80, Mr. Hulett then discusses the substantive changes made to the 2015 revision, along with the background research and rationale that influenced the working group to make each change.
